Protection and safety concept

Based on the model hygiene plan Corona for the Berlin day care facilities for Children and day care centres of the Senate Administration for Education, Youth and Family

The new corona virus is transmissible from person to person. The main mode of transmission is droplet infection (for example when speaking, coughing and sneezing). This occurs mainly directly via the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. In addition, transmission is also possible indirectly via hands, which are then brought into contact with the mucous membranes of the mouth or nose or the conjunctiva of the eyes. Transmission via contaminated surfaces (smear infection) is considered unlikely according to current expert knowledge, but cannot be completely ruled out.

It is not possible to consistently maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres when caring for (smaller) children. Instead, there is physical contact in care and dressing situations as well as in relationship and bonding work. Very young children also need communication via body language including facial expressions. The distance requirement can therefore not be observed in such a way that the risk of infection can be completely excluded. By making use of the care services, the children, the parents, but of course also the Kids-Coaches are exposed to an increased risk of infection. This cannot be completely prevented even if all hygiene measures are observed.

We at Kids Circle try to reduce the risk of infection as much as possible. An important element of this is the observance of hygiene measures.

We apply the following measures as part of our outdoor care services:

1.)  Until further notice, the children will only be looked after in small groups of max. 8 children by 2 Kids-Coaches. Fixed groups are not possible due to the flexible basic concept of Kids Circle.

2.)  A distance of 1.5 meters between adults including parents and other persons is maintained. Touching, hugging and shaking hands between adults will be avoided.

3.)  Parents are requested to wear a mouth-nose cover in fetch and bring situations. The children are taken in one after the other. Please allow some time for this. The same applies to the pick-up situation.

4.)  The Kids-Coaches wear a mouth-nose cover only in the fetch and bring situations.

5.)  Children do not wear mouth and nose covers during childcare services.

6.)  Directly before the beginning and at the end of the care the Kids-Coaches disinfect their hands and those of the children. Only biological disinfection gel is used.

7.)  Physical activity games and sports are offered at a distance of 1.5 metres.

8.)  We do not use musical instruments that are played with air.

9.)  If children develop symptoms of illness during the care service, they will be separated from other children and their parents will be asked to pick them up promptly.

10.)  Cough and sneeze label: Coughing and sneezing into the crook of your arm are among the most important preventive measures! When coughing or sneezing, keep the greatest possible distance.

11.)  Children in care drink and eat exclusively from their own containers that they bring with them.

12.)  Please do not bring toys from home.

13.)  Children who are particularly at risk from a Covid-19 infection due to specific previous illnesses (e.g. previous lung diseases, cystic fibrosis, immuno-depressive therapies, cancer, organ donations etc.) can only attend the care services if a corresponding certificate from the family doctor is available and the protective measures mentioned here are considered sufficient from the point of view of the person with custody.

14.)  In case of symptoms of a respiratory disease, including sore throat, dry cough, odour and taste disorders, the children are not allowed to be brought into the care.

15.)  According to § 6 para. 1 no. 1 letter t IfSG, we as a provider of childcare are obliged to report any suspicion of illness or the illness in relation to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) to the responsible public health department. For this purpose, we store the data of the children and the persons having custody (surname, first name, gender, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail) for 4 weeks, calculated from the day of care. The report by name has to be submitted by us without delayto the competent health authority no later than 24 hours after we have been informed. We also ask parents to inform us as soon as possible if a COVID-19 disease has occurred or is suspected in the family.

We wish your child eventful care at Kids Circle.💚
